Movie Madness: Electric Dreams

Once in a while I will focus on one of my favorite movies. This time, I'm going to focus on the great 80s movie, "Electric Dreams." It's a story about this guy, Miles who gets a computer and the computer comes to life. The computer is named Edgar and he's voiced wonderfully by Bud Cort. Miles & Edgar fight for the love of a woman played by Virgina Matson.
It's a forgotten favorite of mine. :)

First Post In a While

I just thought I'd update this blog for those who are interested.

I've had some things happen to me the past few months that have been a pain in the butt. I have gallbladder issues and fibroids.

On July 22nd, I'm having my gallbladder removed, which is making me happy. I've had a lot of problems with my gallbladder. I've had my share of "attacks" which haven't been fun. But hopefully once it's out I won't have too many issues. I'm a bit nervous about the surgery, but I think it should be pretty smooth.

Also, my old computer died on me. I was trying to upload some pictures from my digital camera to the computer and POOF it just went. I now have a sleek new Dell Inspiron with 6GB of RAM and 750GB hard drive space, which is a HUGE improvement from the 250GB of hard drive space I had. I now can download music, upload pictures and videos and other things. I'm thinking of getting an external hard drive though as backup, but I'm going to ask that for a Christmas present.

I'm also pondering on making a podcast. I'm not sure what though, maybe of some of my favorite things. I've been interested in starting a podcast and I'm enjoying watching the behind the scenes production of Twit Live, which is Leo Laporte's wonderful site. He has some interesting podcasts like The Daily Giz Wiz, which Dick DeBartolo, net@night with Amber MacArthur and a few others. Also, I LOVE Amber's own podcat, CommandN, which is great. I LOVE Amber. She and Will (her cohost) doa wonderful job as hosts, and Amber's brother, Jeff does great tips.

I will try my hardest to update this place. I am thinking of adding some more music videos and some music things, since it's something I like. I will also keep you updated on my gallbladder journey I will be taking.

Grapes Anyone?

If you're a fan of grapes you should go to Naples, NY on September 27th & 28th. That's when they have their annual Grape Festival. I've been to it a couple of years ago and I found it really cool. This year, my family is going to Naples, but after the festival. Here is the website for it if you're interested: Grape Festival
At the festival, you can get grape pies. These things are sooo good.
